Fruit Duel

After a few sessions on Fruit Duel by Hacksaw Gaming, I got why it exists. It is a sunny little farm backdrop, dead simple 3-reel, 3-row setup with 17 paylines. Bets run from 0.10 to 100 a spin, RTP tops out at 96.3% (watch for other models), and it sits around medium volatility (3/5). Max win is 3,333x.

It is basically wall-to-wall fruit: blueberries, lemons, grapes, oranges, apples, bananas, cherries, strawberries. You only need three of a kind across adjacent reels from the left, and the pay range is 0.1x up to 5x stake. The Wild is a grape tile marked WILD, substitutes for fruit, and pays like the strawberry if it lands as a combo.

The bit that actually wakes it up is DuelReels. When a VS symbol drops anywhere, that reel can turn into a full wild reel, but only if it is going to be part of a win. Two fruit symbols can get multipliers and then they duel, with the winner adding x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50, x75, or x100 onto the wild. If you get more than one wild reel in a win, the multipliers add together first.

Land 3 Free Spins scatters and you get 10 free spins, simple as that. It plays like the base game, but you see the VS symbols more often, and the duels tend to chuck out the bigger multipliers more readily. Worth noting, it does not retrigger, so it is 10 spins and done.

My take on Fruit Duel: it is a lighter, more chilled Hacksaw Gaming game than you might expect. Not loads going on beyond the VS moments, but when two reels go wild and the multipliers stack, it can get properly juicy. The theme is cheerful, the pace is quick, and 3,333x is decent for a tiny 3x3 fruit slot. If you are not into classic fruit symbols, this probably will not convert you.
